If you are generally happy person, bringing things to the surface through your meditation may feel a little unstable. Maybe making you feel like you’re not happy person. But trust me, clearing out the things that make you feel not quite perfect – like there’s something just a little bit under the surface and pulling you down – pulling those up to the surface and recognizing what they are.  Clearing these things out will not make you an unhappy person.  It will make you more of an authentically happy person so face your fears.  Have some courage.  And instead of turning away running from the things that scare you, take time to be with who you are. The real you. The person that you are today.  Don’t be afraid of the things that are inside of you.  Those are you … and yet they aren’t you.  Face your shadows with a smile.  Say thank you to those things that make you feel just a little shaky, things that make you feel like you aren’t a happy person.  Clear those suckers out so you can be a real happy person – not a happy shell.
