Malas are prayer beads used to chant mantra or pray and are a useful tool for any meditation practitioner. They can be used for yoga practices or to help you with your own personal and or religious prayers. A traditional mala is made out of 108 beads, plus one to serve as the guru bead marker, and a tassel. Natural materials are used to provide the mala with a special kind of energy. Hand made malas are full of life and make wonderful gifts.

Please join Mindy and learn how to make your own Mala (prayer beads). Maitri Yoga will provide over 50 types of natural gemstone beads and all the materials required to make the Malas. This guided workshop is $37 plus the cost of your all beads (this can be from around $25 and up depending upon the type of stone you choose).
