Have you just accepted that anxiety will always be something you have to deal with? It doesn’t have to be that way. Current research indicates that the practice of yoga can be effective for relieving anxiety and its effects on our bodies and minds. Anxiety can manifest as constantly running “what if” scenarios through your mind, panic attacks, feeling irritable or on edge, worrying, sleep problems, having a sense of being “on guard” all the time, among other things. Come join us in exploring how your nervous system, brain and body are affected by stress, and learn ways to use your yoga practice to experience more balance and calm. The workshop will be a combination of discussion, breath work, meditation and gentle movement. All levels welcome.
- Understand how stress can affect the nervous system, brain and body
